Sanctity of Human Life
Reverence for human life -- including that of the unborn, the infirm and the elderly -- is the basis for peace in the world and goodwill among nations, and is part of the fabric of successful and happy families. Remarkably, however, society has moved increasingly toward a culture of death which has become a dangerous place for the most vulnerable whose lives most need protection. Abortion is rampant; euthanasia is increasingly accepted. Restoring a culture of life is imperative.
Is abortion really a matter of "choice"?
- Most women do not make the "choice" to abort their unborn child;
- Someone else makes the "choice" for them and pressures or coerces them to abort;
- Women are not empowered by having the legal right to abort their children; and
- Women suffer many physical and psychological harms from abortion
