Help California Marriage Amendment Gain Qualification for Election Ballot

Dear Friends of the Family,

While the California legislature and the courts constantly try to re-define marriage and undermine the well-being of families, we have a unique opportunity to stop the assault on marriage once and for all. We have the power to qualify a state marriage amendment for the fall ballot and to pass it, making the definition of marriage tamper-proof.

Some 1.1 million signatures are needed by April 1 to qualify the Protect Marriage initiative for the general election ballot. A quarter-million petition signatures are still needed in the next 10 days. We’ve got work to do!

  • Please go to the protectmarriage.com website to get information on this effort and to find a location where you can pick up petitions to carry and obtain signatures.
  • Attend "processing parties" where you can be involved in verifying signatures. There are "parties" occurring in the Sacramento area Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25.
  • Spread the word to your family members, relatives, neighbors and friends on the importance of collecting the signatures and getting this measure on the ballot.

We are counting on our United Families California members to get involved in this final push. Your participation is essential.  Please take time during the upcoming week to get involved.  The success of this effort is crucial not only to California families, but to the entire country.

Thank you for your help.
