Rose Marie Murray and her husband John have met the joys and challenges of marriage for over 27 years. Their three children are married to wonderful spouses and they are blessed with an adorable baby grand-daughter. Rose Marie had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom but she’s also a Registered Dietitian with a Master’s Degree in International Nutrition. Being involved with her children’s education (part public, part home-school) introduced her to the world of family values political activism. She has been involved with United Families since 2007, when United Families International extended an invitation to start the Utah Chapter.
During the Utah Legislative session, UFU lobbies legislators and executive government officials to promote or oppose bills that impact family. Each legislative session, UFU sponsors BYU Idaho interns who learn the ropes of family advocacy at the state level. Their committee testimonies have been recognized by local and national media, as well as the Utah legislators.
United Families Utah also offers Utah citizens the opportunity to become more educated and active in promoting family values by signing up for the weekly United Families International email alert, visiting the UFI homepage for access to Issues Guides full of research on topics such as Marriage, Abortion and Pornography or by becoming involved at the Utah Legislature.
