Protect against Title IX and submit a comment by September 12, 2022.

The US Department of Education released their proposed changes to Title IX regulations that would dramatically change the future for women and girls in federally funded activities and programs. There are many negative impacts that will harm girls, women, and families.

A government portal has been set up for you to make a comment submission.  It is very straight-forward and easy to do.  In addition, this governmental body is required to read every submission, large and small – before they can finalize the new “Rule.”  So rest assured, your input will be read and considered.

The US federal government continues to push what it calls “transgender rights” on the American people and the American people continue to fight back. The Obama administration has come out with regulations for all hospitals that receive any federal funding and their physicians and staff.

The new government regulations require doctors to perform surgeries such as hysterectomies and mastectomies on healthy patients despite a doctors religious, moral, or medical objections to the procedure.

The states of Texas, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Nebraska, and Kansas along with the Christian Medical and Dental Association and the Franciscan Alliance – a network of religious hospitals—filed a suit against the Federal Health and Human Services. The Suit claims that:

“On pain of significant financial liability, the regulation forces doctors to perform controversial and sometimes harmful medical procedures ostensibly designed to permanently change an individual’s sex—including the sex of children.”

The Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund claims that the law only requires doctors to treat all patients. That of course is not exactly true. The doctors are not required to treat all patients. Instead, the law requires all doctors to preform procedures they may feel are harmful on patients who have gender dysphoria or claim to have gender dysphoria.

Certainly everyone wants to be treated with dignity and respect by their physicians. However, that does not necessarily mean that a doctor must perform every operation or medical procedure that a patient desires.

With mandates like this, the federal government is taking the care of patients away from the judgment of professionals and allotting that care and judgment to themselves. One can only guess what will happen to health care if medical procedures are taken out of the hands of doctors and given to elected or appointed politicians.

For the freedom and safety of the American people, one can only hope that this lawsuit will stop the government from too much oversight of the medical industry and that doctors will have the freedom to use their medical knowledge and judgment in best treating their patients.
