The term ‘totalitarianism’ basically means any form of repressive government.
The following is an anonymous quote from a pamphlet by Dr. Wilkinson entitled The Changing Nature of American Government from a Constitutional Republic to a Welfare State:
“Socialism – If you have two cows, the government takes one and gives it to your neighbor.
Communism – If you have two cows, the government takes both cows and gives you some milk.
Fascism: If you have two cows, you keep the cows, and give the milk to the government and the government then sell you some of the milk.
Nazism: If you have two cows, the government shoots you and keeps the cows.
Capitalism: If you have two cows, you sell one and buy a bull!!!!
Any government with the power to give you anything you want is strong enough to take away everything you have. (Anon.)
Ezra Taft Benson served under President Dwight D. Eisenhower as the Secretary of Agriculture from 1952-1960. He tells of the the following experience:
“I have talked face-to-face with the godless communist leaders. It may surprise you to learn that I was host to Mr. Krushchev for a half day when he visited the United States. Not that I’m proud of it – I opposed his coming then and I still feel it was a mistake to welcome this atheistic murderer as a state visitor. But according to President Eisenhower, Krushchev had expressed a desire to learn something of American agriculture, and after seeing Russian agriculture I can understand why.
As we talked face-to-face, he indicated that my grandchildren would live under communism. After assuring him that I expected to do all in my power to assure that his and all other grandchildren will live under freedom, he arrogantly declared in substance: ‘You Americans are so gullible. No you won’t accept communism outright, but we’ll keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you’ll finally wake up and find you already have communism. We won’t have to fight you. We’ll so weaken your economy until you’ll fall like over-ripe fruit into our hands.’
And they are ahead of schedule in their devilish scheme.”

Communism, actually any form of totalitarianism, must destroy the family and a belief in God to gain control of the people.
What do the words totalitarianism, socialism, Marxism, communism, Nazism, fascism mean?
TOTALITARIANISM – A political structure that involves the population of a country being entirely subject to the government’s absolute authority in pursuing its goals. Carrying on normal business and personal activities under a totalitarian regime can be challenging since government agents and the police often act without being constrained by normal legal procedures.

Socialism
A way of organizing a society in which major industries are owned and controlled by the government rather than by individual people and companies
Any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
A system of society or group living in which there is no private property and the means of production are owned and controlled by the state .
A stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done.

Communism a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating class war and leading to a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.
A way of organizing a society in which the government owns the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.)

Fascism – a way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government – very harsh control or authority.
A political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

Nazism – the body of political and economic doctrines held and put into effect by the Nazis in Germany from 1933 to 1945 including the totalitarian principle of government, predominance of especially Germanic groups assumed to be racially superior, and supremacy of the führer..

Marxism -. the doctrines developed from the political, economic, and social theories of Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels, and their followers: dialectical materialism, a labor-based theory of wealth, an economic class struggle leading to revolution, the dictatorship of the proletariat, and the eventual development of a classless society.
This never happens overnight, but usually over many years, bit by bit, with each loss of freedom sounding so reasonable. For instance, in America, we have been happy to give up freedom for security; half of our country is on some kind of government assistance. Can we imagine what’s going to happen when the government decides to end this assistance? It has happened many times in history and will continue to do so. That is the formula.Could we accurately say that we want nothing to do with ANY of the above forms of government? Yet, here we are, with pretty much the whole world, including America, in the grip of some form of totalitarian government.
Therefore, what? Do all we can to strengthen our families, whatever it takes; firm up our belief in God and religion and practice what we believe (The Ten Commandments would be a good place to start). When I read stories of Russia a hundred years ago, it sounds just like our society today – with nothing sacred and a belief in nothing but materialism and sexual immorality.
In my next article, I will talk about the atrocities in totalitarian governments. It is ugly and horrifying, and death happens in the millions.
