Scholastic Books Features Book Promoting Homosexuality

luvThe Illinois Family Institute is encouraging parents to boycott Scholastic Books for including a book promoting homosexuality in its most recent catalog. They are objecting to the book book, Luv Ya Bunches, which includes the lesbian parents for the story’s character Milla. According to the Guardian, the book’s author, Lauren Myracle, “regularly made the list of the most banned and challenged authors in the US.

Scholastic Books, one of the largest education publishers in the word, particularly for children in elementary and early-secondary school, is featuring the book on its “Teacher’s Picks” page as one of the “Best Books” for grades 3-5.

After finding out about how Scholastic books allowed this book to be in their catolog and on the list of “Teacher’s Picks” we will be bocotting this company. We will buy our books elsewhere. The family and our children are being attacked from many fronts. We need to fight to protect the traditional family!

I’m really saddened to think even the school book orders are not
safe. I hope parents will not support their company anymore.
I’m very sorry it has come to this because I used to order books
every time a new order came. But no more.
