Combined Voices Speak Loud!
Carol.JPGDear Aaryn,
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights approved in the halls of the UN on 10 December 1948.
The Declaration clearly lays out the rights of all human beings around the world and is used by pro-family NGOs (non-governmental organizations) to promote the family, parental rights, and the right to life at the UN.
This important document affirms and recognizes “everyone’s right to life, liberty and security of person.”
Shockingly, those that promote abortion have re-interpreted the document to mean that a woman has the right to an abortion, and are asking the United Nations General Assembly to affirm their interpretation. Through a petition drive, they hope to secure tens of thousands of signatures to turn into the UN on December 10th, 2008.
We plan on being there as well. United Families International plans on joining our pro-family coalition friends in stifling abortion right’s advocates.
Please join us in convincing the UN General Assembly that the family and life are indeed a human right worth protecting. Your signature will be turned with the signatures of like-minded individuals from around the world on December 10, 2008. Our hope is to turn in well over 50,000 signatures. Please join in on this monumental movement today.
When you sign the petition, you help our combined voices speak even louder for the unborn and for the family.
Please be sure to forward this on to your family and friends.
Help us keep the family safe. We cannot do this without your support.

Russia: 64% of Pregnancies End in Abortion
250,000 women/year left infertile from abortion complications
Alarmingly high abortion rates in Russia are leaving an increasing number of women infertile, said Marina Tarasova, deputy head of the St. Petersburg Research Institute For Gynecology and Obstetrics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, at an international conference on Monday. The St. Petersburg Times reported that with 64 percent of Russian women procuring abortions, 200,000 to 250,000 women each year are stripped of their biological ability to procreate because of permanent effects from the procedure.
U.K Government Funded Project Teaches Children as Young as Five About the “pleasures of gay sex”
Already functioning in 14 primary schools in Britain, using books, puppet shows and plays. From the earliest primary grades, school children in Britain should be taught about homosexual relations, a government funded education research project has said. No Outsiders, a 28-month, tax-funded research project funded by the government’s Economic and Social Research Council, is already functioning in 14 primary schools in Britain, using books, puppet shows and plays to teach children as young as five about the “pleasures of gay sex.” The project is costing British taxpayers £600,000 (Cn. $1,143,989) and is being promoted in schools under the rubric of combating “homophobic bullying” in schools.
ATHEISTS SUE PRESIDENT OVER NATIONAL PRAYER DAY
The Freedom From Religion Foundation sued Friday in U.S. district court, arguing that the president’s mandated proclamations calling on Americans to pray violates a constitutional ban on government officials endorsing religion. The day of prayer, held each year on the first Thursday of May, creates a “hostile environment for nonbelievers, who are made to feel as if they are political outsiders,” the lawsuit said.
